This competition is designed to provide a match for those who like to shoot old military semi-auto rifles and enjoy meeting others having a similar interst. We will be shooting any "as issued" semi-auto rifle (no match parts) that was issued up to 1953 such as M-1 Garands, M-1 Carbines, M1941 Johnson, German G-43's, French MAS-49's, Russian SKS's and AK's. All matches will start at 11:00 AM or immediately after the Military .22 Trainer Match is over. Matches are the third Saturday of each month.
The normal course of fire is on the 100 yard bench rest range and consists of 5 sets. The first two sets are for small group. The winner of each set gets a dollar of the $5.00 entry fee back. The last three sets are for score. Again, the winner of each set will get a dollar back. Each set consists of 10 rounds. The total rounds needed are 50 plus however many sighters are needed. Each set is limited to 5 minutes plus a sight-in period of 10 minutes. The target used is the SR21 (300 yard simulated).
Hearing and eye protection are required for all participants.
