TULSA RED CASTLE GUN CLUB

Military Bolt Action Rifle Match

This Competition is designed to provide those who like these old military weapons and enjoy meeting others having similar interest a chance to get together and compete. Since this is more or less a local type of competition we have a great deal of freedom in structuring the matches. Our normal match schedule is on the fourth Saturday of each month. All matches start no later than 9:00 AM or when the first relay is filled unless otherwise noted.
For more information contact Match Director.

Our normal course of fire is on the 100 yard bench rest range and consists of 5 sets. The first two sets are for small group. The winner of each set gets a dollar of the $5.00 entry fee back. The last three sets are for score. Again the winner of a set will get a dollar back. Each set consists of 10 rounds and with the sight in period. The rounds will be 50 plus what "sighters" you need. Each set is limited to 10 minutes. The target used is the SR21 (300 yard simulated) familiar to those who have competed in a CMP (formerly DCM) match.

Each month will feature a "Side Match" for specific types of rifles or ammunition, such as an Enfields only match. "Side Matches" will shoot concurrently with the regular match.

Since none of this is cast in concrete we have used other distances and other targets. However the normal club match and any inter-club matches will follow the pattern above.
