| WHAT: | A highpower rifle rapid fire competition loosely based on the team "Rattle Battle" match fired annually at the National Matches at Camp Perry. |
| WHERE: | Tulsa Red Castle Gun Club's Highpower Rifle Range. |
| WHEN: | Matches start at 9:00 A.M. on the 4th Saturday of each month beginning in March. Scheduled matches for 2008 are: March 22, April 26, May 24, June 28, July 26, August 23, September 27, and October 25. November 22 match will be for awards for the year. |
| Four sighting shots from 600 yards, followed by one-minute rapid fire periods at 600, 500, 300 and 200 yards. |
| Each competitor will be allowed a maximum of 80 rounds of ammunition after sighting shots are fired. During the one-minute firing peiod, competitors may fire as many rounds on their target as safely possible. At the conclusion of each rapid fire string, there will be a two minute period to pick up brass and prepare to move to the next firing point. All members of the relay on the firing line will walk (no vehicles allowed) to the next firing point. Once there, a one minute preparation period will be followed by the next rapid fire string. The sequence will be repeated until firing is completed at 200 yards, where the competitors on the firing line will report directly to the pits, and the second relay reports to the 600 yard berm. |
| SCORING: | Numbered scoring rings on the target are not used; hits in the black will be worth 6 points at 600 yards, 5 points at 500 yards, 3 points at 300 yards and 2 points at 200 yards. Hits in the X ring will be counted for tie-breaking purposes. Targets will be scored and holes pasted while the firing line moves between firing points. |
| CLASSES: | Military Bolt Action - as issued Military bolt action rifles. Vintage Military Semi-Auto - as issued wooden stocked rifles with magazine capacity of 10 rounds or less and designed to be loaded with stripper clips or any other means but magazine changes. Modern Military Semi-Auto - is defined as civilian versions of rifles originally designed with full auto capability, with no restriction on magazine capacity. All rifles must have iron sights, and be in as-issued condition. |
