These Competitions are Open to the Public, but you must contact the Match Director for Range access information in advance. Our Competitions are designed to provide those who like vintage military weapons and enjoy meeting others having similar interest a chance to get together and compete. Bring your old center-fire bolt-actions and semi-auto rifles, also your vintage .22 trainer rifles out to the 100yd Bench Rest Range at the Zink Ranch for a day of fun and showmanship. Firing Times:

– .22 Military Training Rifles:

  • Relay 1 starts at 9:00am for 30 minutes total
    • sign-in at 8:30am
  • Iron Sights or Scoped

Course of Fire for .22 Military Trainer - Four (4) targets per station; one sighter, one group ten rounds; score one and score two ten round each, unlimited sighters, time limit 30 minutes.

– Military Bolt Action Rifles:

  • Relay 2 starts at 10:00am for 40 minutes total
    • be there at least 15 minutes early
  • Iron Sights or 4x Scope max

Course of Fire for Military Bolt Action Rifle - Four (4) targets total. One sighter unlimited rounds and one for group ten rounds to be set for the firstround. Second round, score 1 and score 2, ten rounds each,time limit 40 minutes.

– Military Semi Auto:

  • NO AR platform rifles!! If you are interested in competing with this type of rifle, notify the Club in writing. If enough people are interested, we will have a fourth relay.
  • Relay 3 starts at 11:00am for 40 minutes total
    • be there at least 15 minutes early
  • Iron Sights or 4x Scope max

Course of Fire for Semi Auto Rifle: Four (4) targets total. One sighter unlimited rounds and one for group ten rounds to be set for the first round. Second round, score 1 and score 2, ten rounds each, time limit 40 minutes.

Military .22 Caliber Training Rifle:

Training rifle with U.S. property markings and/or used by the U.S. Military, such as:

Kimber 82 - Remington 513T

Remington 40x - Mossberg 42MB

Winchester 52 - H&R M12

Mossberg 44US - Springfield 1922

Military .22 trainers as issued from other countries are also welcome.

Military Bolt Action Rifles:

Centerfire bolt action rifle used by the US or Foreign Military such as:

Springfield 1903 - 1903 A3 - 1903 A4 - Krag-Jorgesen

Enfield 1917 - Swiss K31 - Mauser K98 - Mosin M91/30

MAS 36 - Swede M96 - Mosin M38 etc...

Military Semi Auto Rifles:

Military semi-auto rifles such as:

M1 Garand - M1 Carbine - M14 - M1A

G43 - MAS 49 - K43 - SVT 40

SKS - AK47 - FAL

These are just some examples of the type of rifles to bring to these competitions. It is by no means an extensive list, simply contact the Match Director with any questions you might have.

These Matches take place at the 100yd Bench Rest Range, bring separate front and rear rifle rests, EAR AND EYE PROTECTION REQUIRED, chamber flags (empty chamber indicators - ECI). Optionally, bring a spotting scope.
