All guns brought into the classroom/range must be UNLOADED, no ammo in the chamber, no ammo in the magazine.   Guns must be in a bag or case.   REMEMBER THE 4 SAFETY RULES: 1. Treat all firearms as if they are loaded. 2.  Keep your finger off the trigger until you are on target and ready to fire. 3.  Never point the firearm at anything you do not intend to kill. 4.  Know your target and what is beyond it.
