Thursday, January 2nd, 2025, 8am to 12pm at Zink Ranch pistol range
The outdoor Pistol Range is reserved Thursday mornings from 8:00 AM to Noon. Shooting starts at 9:00. Set up starts about 8:00. Come early and help set up and meet the other participants.
this is an organized pistol practice utilizing a variety of courses of fire to entertain, improve shooting skills and enhance decision making skills all with an emphasis on safety.
We utilize different courses of fire including moving while shooting, shooting from cover, moving targets and a shot timer. We use a shot timer to and times to measure improvement.
Equipment needed:
Eye and Ear protection.
Center fire handgun. Semi-auto preferred but revolver OK., extra speed loaders are helpful.
Holster and Mag carrier.
Courses vary week to week but about 75 rounds of ammo.
At least one extra magazine.

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course - Instructor Led Only, Robert Wayson/Instructor
Saturday, January 11th, 2025, 8am to 5pm at Indoor Range
This course is NRA certified and is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. This is an instructor-led course where you will receive direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end.
THIS IS A SINGLE, ALL-DAY COURSE LED BY ROBERT WAYSON/INSTRUCTOR
- Cash is always welcome. Credit and debit cards accepted for balance plus 3.5%.
- Firearm: Students should bring their own firearm. The firearm may be a semi-automatic or revolver, .45 caliber or less. A limited number with ammunition will be available for rent.
- Ammunition: Students should bring 200 rounds of factory ammunition, or at least 50 rounds. Reloads, commercial or home-made, are not permitted.
- Eye and hearing protection: Students should bring eye and hearing protection, with electronic hearing protection recommended.
- Clothing: Students should wear appropriate range attire, which does not include open-toed shoes or low-cut clothing.
- Other items: Students should bring a pencil and note pad. Instructor will provide snacks and water, but not a meal. Restaurants are available nearby.

Course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles. Education includes safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions; cleaning. Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate.
$150.00 members and non-members... No fee for cash or checks...

- 22LR rimfire only...Rentals with ammunition may be available for a fee

OK SDA (Constitutional, Open Carry) Class. This is the class required to get your certificate so you can apply for your OK gun permit. This is the class where you will learn the gun laws that apply to gun owners. You must know how to load, shoot and unload your own firearm safely. You will be shooting 50 rounds at the indoor range. You will need your firearm, ammo (NO RELOADS: factory ammunition only), eye/ear protection, and a ball cap. Registration required as we limit number of participants.
