Thursday outdoor pistol practice (TOPP)
Thursday, April 2nd, 2026, 8am to 12pm at Zink Ranch pistol range
The bullseye Pistol Range near the clubhouse is reserved Thursday mornings from 8:00 AM to Noon.  Shooting starts at 9:00.  Set up starts about 8:00.  Come early and help set up and meet the other participants. Occasionally the event may be delayed or canceled due to weather.  
 
This is an organized pistol practice utilizing a variety of courses of fire to entertain, improve shooting skills and enhance decision making skills all with an emphasis on safety. 
We setup different courses of fire including moving while shooting, shooting from cover, moving targets etc.  We use a shot timer to and record times to measure individual improvement. 
 
Equipment needed:
Eye and Ear protection. Center fire handgun.  Semi-auto preferred. 
Holster and Mag carrier.
Courses vary week to week but about 75 rounds of ammo.
At least one extra magazine.

Monthly Board meeting
Thursday, April 2nd, 2026, 6:30pm to 7:30pm at Board room at the Indoor range
This is a recurring meeting on the first Thursday of the month.  The Board meets to discuss normal business matters of the club and any unusual situations that may arise.

SASS Wild Bunch match - CANCELLED due to weather
Sunday, April 12th, 2026, 9am to 2pm at Buzzard Gulch cowboy town
SASS Wild Bunch rules match. Similar to Cowboy Action but using a .45 ACP and multiple clips instead of single action revolvers.

Tulsa Red Castle Spring Regional 2 Day Match
Saturday, April 18th, 2026, 7:30am to 3:30pm at HIGH-POWER RIFLE RANGE
Rules: Current CMP rules will govern. It is the competitor’s responsibility to be familiar with CMP rules and this program. The CMP classification system will be used (Rule 5.11.4). Competitors who do not have a CMP Classification, but who have an NRA Classification may compete with their current NRA Classification for their first match (Rule 5.11.4 (f)).

·       2 Sighting Shots/(2 Strings of 10) Rapid Fire Sitting/Kneeling(Shot from Position) 200 yards -60 Sec
·       2 Sighting Shots/(2 Strings of 10) - Rapid Prone(Shot from Position) - 300 Yards -70 Sec
·       2 Sighting Shots/20 Shots Slow Fire Prone – 600 Yards – 22 Minutes
There will be no breaks, please plan accordingly with snack and water.
Competitors shooting .223, please note you must shoot at least a 75 grain bullet at 600 yards.

Competitors should be prepared to assist with set up and tear down of targets,

Ear & Eye Protection is Required for Matches
 
 
Electronic Targets:
Shot-marker Target System will be used for matches. Competitors are asked to provide their own personal Wi-Fi electronic device, i.e., smart phone or tablet. Always be ready to make use of paper targets, should electronic target fail. Please note the access code for shot marker system: 192.168.100.1
Matches are subject to weather conditions; all efforts will be made to notify competitors in a timely fashion. 
Gate codes will be emailed the week prior to the scheduled match. It is imperative that competitors do not enter Zink Ranch before Sunrise. Any shooter who enters Zink Ranch prior to Sunrise will be subject to disqualification of match events.

Tulsa Red Castle Spring Regional 2 Day Match

This competition is open to any eligible competitor, you need not be a member of the NRA, CMP or Red Castle Gun Club. No person who has been convicted of a Federal or State felony or any violation of Section 922 of Title 18, U. S. Code, is eligible to participate in any activity sponsored or sanctioned by the CMP.
 
 
Current CMP High Power Rifle Rules will Govern all matches. It is the responsibility for participants to know the rules and course of fire for the matches.

ALL competitors must sign Red Castle Gun Club, Waiver Agreement, prior to participating. 
No Ammunition will be distributed for this match, it is the responsibility for each competitor to provide their own ammunition. 
Awards will be presented at the conclusion of the matches on Sunday, following the Excellence in Competition Match. 
·       It is the competitor’s responsibility to be familiar with CMP rules, course of fire, and this program.
·       Ear & Eye Protection is Required for matches on the firing line. 
·       Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI) is required at all times except in actual firing or preparation time. 
·       Competitors must be on target within 3 shots. 
·       There will be no breaks, competitors should provide water and snacks as needed. 
·       75 grain or heavier must be used at 600 yard line, .223/5.56 ammunition. 
·       $3.00 Challenge fee for unsuccessful challenges 
 
 
No data will be cleared and no changes of score is permitted without authorization of match official.  
 
 
Ear and eye protection must be worn on firing line and during pit duties, this is in accordance to the CMP Rulebook.
Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI) is always required except in actual firing or preparation time.
 
 
The purpose of the CMP matches is to provide a friendly environment to support the improvement of civilian marksmanship. Any verbal abuse toward competitors and or match officials, will result in the automatic removal from match and range. 
 
 
No alcohol beverages will be consumed on the Red Castle Gun Club Range or Zink Ranch Property. 
 
No smoking is permitted on the firing line and or pits, as well as the club house.
 
Entry into the Zink Ranch will require a gate code, gate code information will be provided a week prior to matches.
