The Indoor Range will be closed for the 4th, so that everyone may enjoy the Holiday. Range hours will be normal for the remainder of the weekend.

All are welcome, you do not have to be a member to participate. If you enjoy shooting old military rifles, this is the one for you! The 1st Saturday of each month these competitions are held at the Bench Rest Range and shot at 100 yds. There are 14 lanes. Reserve your lane early ! Sign up for the email list at the match.

Bolt guns - Slow fire.

Auto Loading weapons may fire Rapid fire, 22 minutes is allotted per relay. 

Targets are scored, shot groups are measured and recorded after each relay.

·       Fees: $5 per relay

·       Ear & Eye Protection is Required for matches on the firing line. 

·       Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI) is required at all times except in actual firing. 

 

• July 4 Vintage Military Rifles CMP Match
• Benchrest Supported Position (3.3.6 )
  • For the Benchrest VMR (Vintage Military Rifle), competitors shall fire from benches provided by the range. The rifle may be supported with one or two sandbag rests or kneeling rolls or other similar supports that may be placed under the rifle fore-end. A rear rest may not be used. The buttplate is supported by the shoulder. The butt-stock may not rest on the bench or be supported by anything that rests on the bench
• a) Course of Fire (4.6.6 ). 
  • Five (5) Sighting shots and 30 Record shots at 100 yards on the  SR-21 Target (Rule 3.5.1) in a time limit of 30 minutes. Firing must be done from a benchrest with a maximum of two sandbag supports and a firing position that complies with Rule 3.3.6.
  • b) Rifles. Any rifle that complies with Rules 4.2.2 ( As-Issued M1 Garand), 4.2.3 ( As-Issued M1903 Springfield), 4.2.4 (Other As-Issued U.S.Military Rifles), or 4.2.5 (As-Issued Foreign Military Rifle). 

 

Safety:

• Always bring your rifle to the line unloaded with action open.
• Always point rifle downrange
• ALWAYS Keep The Gun Unloaded Until Ready To Use
• ALWAYS Keep Your Finger Off The Trigger Until Ready To Shoot
• During cease fire: Action Open with Empty Chamber Indicator, remove Magazine (where applicable), Weapon on Safe
• Never be at the bench, between the red line in the front of the benches and the yellow line behind the benches when people are down range.
• Call CEASEFIRE or STOP
