RANGE: Tulsa Red Castle Gun Club – North of Sand Springs, OK, Hwy 97 to Zink Ranch, follow signs to range
ELIGIBILITY: All are welcome, it is NOT required that you be a member of the NRA.
RULES: All current NRA rules will apply.
COURSE OF FIRE: Match #1 - 40 rounds – High Power Standard Rifle
Match #2 - 40 rounds – High Power Hunting Rifle
TIMES: 9:00 am, short break then match #2. Practice will be from 0800 to 0845.
ENTRY: Entries will be accepted until 8:45.
ENTRY LIMITS: Standard Rifle – 32 rifles - 4 relays
Hunter Rifle – 32 rifles – 4 relays
ENTRY FEES: $10.00 per match Juniors - $5.00 per match
CLASSIFICATION: 2017/2018 NRA Rifle Silhouette Classification will be used. Classification books are not required but recommended. Shooters without books will be considered “for fun” shooters.
SCORING: Competitors will keep score. Competitors are required to examine scorecards after
each series, and to initial cards before leaving the line. Any scoring differences must be
resolved immediately after each five shot series involved and before targets are reset. If a scorecard is not validated, the recorded score will stand and no changes will be made.
EQUIPMENT: Rifles must meet NRA specifications.
AMMUNITION: Provided by the competitor. 6MM (25cal) or larger ONLY, NO magnums.
AWARDS: Will be given for each class with 3 or more competitors.
LONG RUNS WILL BE FIRED AT THE END OF THE DAY AFTER ANY SHOOT?OFFS. IF YOU WISH TO
TRY FOR LONG RUN, NOTIFY THE STAT OFFICE BEFORE THE END OF THE MATCH.
TIES: Matches will be decided by reverse animal count, (turkey, ram, chicken, javelina), except match winner and ties that cannot be decided by reverse animal count, which will be decided by a shoot?off.
SAFETY: All safety rules will be strictly enforced. Failure to comply with safety rules will be basis for immediate
disqualification with no return of entry fees. Safety glasses and hearing protection are required.
An empty chamber indicator (ECI) is mandatory. It should be used any time the rifle is not in its case. If you do not have one, they are available for a $1 fee. (See Rule 3.21)
COACHING: A shooter may have one person with them on the firing line to spot shots, coach, and keep time. The coach may use a spotting scope or binoculars. He may not touch the shooter or their equipment during the firing period and must stay behind the line of shooters. If you are not shooting
or coaching, you must remain behind the railing in the ready area.
ALCOHOL: Alcohol is NOT permitted on Zink Ranch.
SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted on the firing line or in the
area immediately behind the firing line.
