How to Join
At this time we are only accepting applications for the Indoor Range.  When the Outdoor range reopens, Indoor Range members will have first preference for any openings.

Thank you for your interest in our club.  The Tulsa Red Castle Gun Club Corp. is organized as a 501(c)(7) non-profit social club.  All of the officers and directors are volunteers and collectively donate thousands of hours each year to the club.  As such, we have a very small paid staff and rely on our members to act in a responsible, respectful manner whenever using our facilities.

How does a Red Castle Membership work? Your membership is a family membership. The club defines a family as you, your spouse, and children under age 26 who are living at home.  Up to 4 occasional guests are encouraged to come to the club and to shoot with you. The club bylaws limit each guest to 4 visits per year.  Of course, children under age 18 must always be under your direct supervision.

Our “dues year” runs from October 1 through September 30 of each year.  In late August, members receive a dues renewal invoice, payable before October 1st.  Renewal invoices that are not paid by December 1 risk the cancelation of your membership.

We have two ranges to accommodate nearly all shooting needs.  Membership for the Outdoor range has a limit so it may not be available all the time.  The fee schedule is below and subject to change at the Board’s discretion.  The combined Indoor/Outdoor membership offers the best value.

Where are the ranges located?  The Outdoor Shooting Ranges are located on a portion of the beautiful Zink Ranch, adjacent to Skiatook Lake, 9 miles north of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, at the end of HWY 97. The Zink Ranch is a controlled access facility that we share with other organizations.  Please note that the entire Zink Ranch is a game refuge. All wildlife is protected. Your membership entitles you to use only the Red Castle facilities, NOT the entire ranch or facilities that belong to other organizations.

Our Indoor Shooting Range is located at 1115 S Zunis Ave (near 11th St. & Lewis Ave.) in Tulsa. Indoor Range members no longer pay day fees;  Guest day fees are $10.

We encourage our members to support the NRA or another gun rights organization.  You can join or renew with the NRA using the link on our Home page.

Important:  While membership in the Indoor Range is almost always open, Outdoor Range memberships are subject to a maximum number, set by the Board each year. Consequently, memberships in the Outdoor range are usually closed most of the year.  When membership in the Outdoor range opens, our Indoor members are given the first opportunity to add it to their membership.  Any slots remaining open are offered to the general public.

Our Membership Process- What we expect from you:

Our application process is 100% online.  You must have an email address and credit/debit card to apply.  The application fee must be paid before the Board will review your application.  Application fees and dues are NOT the same thing. Your dues will be collected after Board approval (and orientation for Outdoor memberships.)

Our offices are not open every day so if you have questions, email is usually the best solution.  Please email the Secretary at Secretary@tulsaredcastlegunclub.com for membership questions or the President at President@tulsaredcastlegunclub.com if you have questions about our facilities.  If you’re unsure of who to ask, send your question to the club Secretary.  You can also call us during Indoor Range operating hours.

What you can expect from us:

  1. All applications are subject to Board approval.  We run background checks on every applicant.  Applications are normally processed within a few days.
  2. If your application is for Outdoor Only or combined Indoor/Outdoor you must attend an orientation class at the Zink Ranch.  This is required as part of our usage agreement with the Zink Foundation.  Classes are held at least once per month, usually on the third weekend.  During times of heavy orientation traffic (January-March) we may schedule additional sessions.
  3. We work as a team to deliver the best value for each dollar you pay in dues.

When we are open for New Members, you will be able to register through the "Register" button at the upper right on our home page.

So, if the Registration link is visible on-line and rates are acceptable, follow the instructions on the Registration page. A non-refundable application fee of $100 must be paid with your registration.  After receiving your application and payment, a background check will be run with the State of Oklahoma.   After your application has been approved by the Board of Directors, you will be notified and the prorated dues will be payable at that time (Indoor range only.)  If your membership includes the Outdoor Range (Outdoor only or Both ranges) you must attend an orientation session to complete the membership process.  In the case of Outdoor memberships, your dues will be invoiced after you attend orientation.

Applications are processed as they arrive and applicants will be notified of their status as soon as processing is completed.

Indoor membership only, or combined indoor/outdoor memberships must read and sign a copy of the Indoor Range Rules before their first use of the Indoor Range, and they will be shown how to use the range by the Range Safety Officer on duty.

When you apply for membership you must fill in all required fields and your name should be entered as it appears on you Social Security card.  The application fee must be paid with your application.  After backgrounds checks have cleared, the Board meets to consider the applicants for that month.  If approved, applicants will be notified by email.  You will then be invoiced for your dues (prorated based on our fiscal year end of September 30.)

Outdoor Range members: After completing orientation you will be invoiced for the Orientation class fee and your prorated dues.  Membership and access cards will not be issued until payment is received.

At your Orientation, each new applicant will be required to sign the Zink Ranch usage agreement and to abide by it. Failure to do so may result in expulsion from the club. These are family memberships and all members of the family are expected to follow the rules.  You are responsible for the actions of your family members and guests.

After your membership is approved, you can choose to get a separate membership card for your spouse or significant other.  This isn't a requirement but may be useful if they want to use the range when the primary member is out of town.  Look for "Register Level 2 Member" on your profile page.

Questions should be addressed to the Club Secretary.
