Thursday outdoor pistol practice (TOPP)
Thursday, September 4th, 2025, 8am to 12pm at Zink Ranch pistol range
The outdoor Pistol Range is reserved Thursday mornings from 8:00 AM to Noon.  Shooting starts at 9:00.  Set up starts about 8:00.  Come early and help set up and meet the other participants. Occasionally the event may be delayed or canceled due to weather.  
 
This is an organized pistol practice utilizing a variety of courses of fire to entertain, improve shooting skills and enhance decision making skills all with an emphasis on safety. 
We setup different courses of fire including moving while shooting, shooting from cover, moving targets etc.  We use a shot timer to and record times to measure individual improvement. 
 
Equipment needed:
Eye and Ear protection.
Center fire handgun.  Semi-auto preferred. 
Holster and Mag carrier.
Courses vary week to week but about 75 rounds of ammo.
At least one extra magazine.

Monthly Board meeting

This is a recurring meeting on the first Thursday of the month.  The Board meets to discuss normal business matters of the club and any unusual situations that may arise.
Combined Military Rifle Competition
Saturday, September 6th, 2025, 8:30am to 12pm at Bench Rest Range
  PLEASE NOTE, THE WEATHER WILL DICTATE IF WE HAVE THIS MATCH. All are welcome, you do not have to be a member to participate. If you enjoy shooting old military rifles, this is the one for you! The 1st Saturday of each month these competitions are held at the Bench Rest Range and shot at 100 yds. There are 14 lanes. Reserve your lane early with John Maus! Sign up for the email list at the match.      ATTENTION: The Zink Ranch is a gated facility, to get an entry code, non-members must contact the Director at 918-712-0644 in advance and to get more information.      
Course of Fire: All relays are fired seated from Bench Rest using rear supports.
Auto Loading weapons should utilize magazine or clip and may fire rapid fire
The match is shot in three relays: 100 yards - 22 minutes per relay 
Targets are scored, shot groups are measured and recorded after each relay.  
 
Relay one and two are fired with 22lr.
Four Targets: Sighter Shots, Group Size, and Two For Record.   
Relay One: 22lr.  Unlimited Sighting Shots 3 Strings of 10 rounds for each of Group, Record I and Record II.  
Relay Two: 22lr. Unlimited Sighting Shots 3 Strings of 10 rounds for each of Group, Record I and Record II.    

Relay Three:
Center Fire Military Rifles
First Volley: Unlimited Sighting Shots 10 rounds for Grouping.
Target Reset and scoring.
Second Volley: 2 strings or 10 rounds Record I and Record II.
 
·Fees: $5 per relay

·Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI) is required at all times except in actual firing.

Tulsa Red Castle Fall Class-OK State High-Power Service Rifle Match 09/19-09/21/2025
Friday, September 19th, 2025, 7:30am to 5pm at HIGH-POWER RIFLE RANGE
This competition is open to any eligible competitor, you need not be a member of the NRA, CMP or Red Castle Gun Club. No person who has been convicted of a Federal or State felony or any violation of Section 922 of Title 18, U. S. Code, is eligible to participate in any activity sponsored or sanctioned by the CMP.
 
Red Castle Gun Club Location:
The Outdoor Shooting Ranges are located on the Zink Ranch, adjacent to Skiatook Lake, north of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, at the north end of HWY 97 (Coordinates to the Club House at Zink Ranch: 36.308019,-96.117261 or W3W at concierge lighthouse grounded).  Please do not enter Zink Ranch, before sunrise. 
 
To be eligible for the overall match aggregate for OK State Service Rifle Championship Match; Participants will need to shoot all three matches and be a member of the Oklahoma Rifle Association. 
 
*A 5-day Special Event ORA Membership is available at the ORA Website. It is the responsibility of participants to provide proof of membership the day of match.  Please see the website at www.oklahomarifle.org. Click the “Join!” tab, and then the “join online,” button. Scroll to the bottom of the memberships, the fee is $10.00 and expires 5 days after the purchase date, plan accordingly.*
 
Rules: Current CMP rules will govern. It is the competitor’s responsibility to be familiar with CMP rules and this program. The CMP classification system will be used (Rule 5.11.4). Competitors who do not have a CMP Classification, but who have an NRA Classification may compete with their current NRA Classification for their first match (Rule 5.11.4 (f)).
 
Registration:
Registration will be held at the 200 yard berm at 0815-0830 each morning, no new registrations after 0900. No competitors will be permitted to compete once registration is closed. 
 
Competitors should be prepared to assist with set up and tear down of targets, and or to perform pit and scoring duties.
